Welcome to Term 2

Hi there room Tawa kids.... it's the start of another term and we have some big changes in our class. We have new additions to our classroom who have come over from
Miss McLeans class and we also have a new student starting today. Miss C

We have had an exciting week in Room Tawa. Our caterpillars changed into their chrysalis. We thought that the caterpillars spun their cocoons but we discovered that it is not a cocoon at all! Check out the videos to see the amazing transformation. We have been pleased to welcome Harlem into our class and his mother Roberta is helping us with Kapahaka, Thanks so much! We go to the public library next Wednesday and would love some parent help for the morning. We will walk there and back if the weather is fine. Otherwise we will Bus!!! Tawa has been learning about.......

Logan K has been learning to use her "tool" hand when sounding out a word.

Decan has been learning to play numeacy games.

I learnt to make a capital letter by using the shift buton.

Jenny learnt to play maths games.

Sapphire learnt to play strategy games.

Paxton learnt to do his ten times tables.

Madison learnt to do her self portrait.

Week Two Term One

Charlottes mum had a baby and it is a girl and it is named Leida she was born at Gore hospital


and weighs 6 pound 3 She was born on Wednesday the 10th Of February.


On Tuesday we all went to the hall to see the Stags and they told us that they won a lot of games

And brought they along the Ranfurly Shield.

We had the heart foundation lady come to give our school a bronze award and we were pleased to see Mrs T here for the occasion.

We have being learning numeracy games one of the Games is calledShoot for stars we like it , going spotty is also cool.

The end of another year!!!

Hi there my friends!!!
Wow what a busy last week... I am so proud of all your efforts at the final asessmebly the senior song and kapahaka was excellent. Many parents and board members spoke to me and Mrs T afterwards to say how impressed they were. It is always sad to see the Yr 6 students leave us and I hope this years Yr 5's are looking forward to their roles and responsibilities next year! Me and my whanau are going to be hard at work at the crib at Karitane!!! Lots of painting, gibbing, and general building going on!!! Have a wonderful Christmas and be safe!!! Lots of love Miss C
