Well an exciting first day!

We had Kaylee and Larissa over for the day today and Max also broke his pinky finger! Blame the McDonalds playground for that one. Poor kid now can't do a heck of a lot with him having a right hand all splintered up I have a feeling he is going to get grumpy with it very soon. Hope you are all having a great break and keeping up with the reading munchkins!!!! I'll post next time from Dunedin.... Miss C

Wowee with a bumble bee hasn't this term (and year) sped by really fast. We must pass on congratulations to our awesome third year student teacher Mrs Millar.... she has a job (already) for next year at Gore Main School. Well done. We are super lucky next term as Mrs Millar will be teaching Rm Tawa for the first 3 or 4 weeks.

This week will see us doing lots of portfolio work and also finishing up those units - Time, fractions, recycling, speeches.... the list goes on.

Things to note: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday speeches time 9.15am I look forward to hearing them you have been working so hard!

On Wednesday Miss C is not in class I am off to a Professional Development Day and so Mrs Wing will do the speech assessment for that day.

On Thursday We are all going to do our part for clean up NZ Week..... Seniors (that's us munchkins) are going to tidy up Hamilton Park, we will provide the gloves and bags, you can provide the enthusiasm!

Then after that Mr Bruce C Gull is going to come a talk to us about recycling - that will finish off our inquiry topic just nicely!!!!!
