I am so proud of my Tawa munchkins!!! You really put a wonderful effort into your performances yesterday. Lots of people have commented how fabulous your acting was and how well you sang, tino pai tamariki ma! Ruby what a fabulous Toto! You really shine on stage.

Welcome back to Term 3

*** Welcome to Tyler!*** He has joined our class this term..... and farewell to Madison, Charlotte O, Liam and Rayvan :0( have moved to Rms 5 and 6.

A new part of our daily programme is children reading to the whole class.

We are learning to use expression in our voice and look for cues in a text which tell us about our volume and tone in a book. Everyone is really enjoying it!

Remember to be prepared for school ......... our class goal is to have sharp pencils, lunchboxes in the class and chair ready BEFORE the bell rings.....

Kapahaka

Check out our Te Reo Maori learning in kapahaka over the last few weeks we have been working with poi and rakau! We know up, down, in and out in Te Reo Maori.....

We had some wonderful visitors last week!

Our class rang out to the sound of bagpipes and drums last week when the Mataura kilties came to show us their wonderful pipe band skills. They are on the look out for kids who would like to learn!!! We really enjoyed hearing from them!

Week Three

It has been super busy this week and we have learnt a lot..... we know what a SCHWA is!!!! Ask your child...... Barrett is unable to be with us for the next three weeks and so Miss C gets to run it during this time.... tino pai tamariki mai keep up the great work when learning direction in Te Reo Maori..... Miss C :o)

Welcome to Term 2

Hi there room Tawa kids.... it's the start of another term and we have some big changes in our class. We have new additions to our classroom who have come over from
Miss McLeans class and we also have a new student starting today. Miss C

Kia Ora

We have had an exciting week in Room Tawa. Our caterpillars changed into their chrysalis. We thought that the caterpillars spun their cocoons but we discovered that it is not a cocoon at all! Check out the videos to see the amazing transformation. We have been pleased to welcome Harlem into our class and his mother Roberta is helping us with Kapahaka, Thanks so much! We go to the public library next Wednesday and would love some parent help for the morning. We will walk there and back if the weather is fine. Otherwise we will Bus!!! Madison will update this before the end of the week...... Ka kite Miss C

I learnt to make a capital letter by using the shift buton.

Week Two Term One

Charlottes mum had a baby and it is a girl and it is named Leida she was born at Gore hospital


and weighs 6 pound 3 She was born on Wednesday the 10th Of February.


On Tuesday we all went to the hall to see the Stags and they told us that they won a lot of games

And brought they along the Ranfurly Shield.

We had the heart foundation lady come to give our school a bronze award and we were pleased to see Mrs T here for the occasion.

We have being learning numeracy games one of the Games is calledShoot for stars we like it , going spotty is also cool.
